Fission Uranium Corp. (TSX: FCU) (OTCQX:FCUUF)(FRANKFURT:2FU) (“Fission” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Institutional Shareholder Services (“ISS”), the leading proxy advisory firm, has published a report recommending that shareholders vote FOR all resolutions including the board’s proposed director nominees at Fission’s upcoming annual meeting to be held on December 15, 2015. In making its recommendation that Fission shareholders vote FOR the board’s proposed nominees, ISS states that “the board is structured to provide accountability and independent oversight which is consistent with market practices”. ISS further states, “the board as a whole is majority independent and has established all expected key committees and is entirely independent”. With respect to the amendment of By-Law No. 1, ISS recommends that shareholders “vote FOR the proposed by-law as no significant governance concerns have been identified at this time” and “no problematic provisions have been identified within the proposed advance notice provision”.
